Each model offers a durable, one-piece rubber roof, which provides a complete, watertight seal. A shake-simulator test is performed for 10 minutes to detect any problems before each model leaves the factory. All units are tested for 15 minutes in a high-pressure shower spray to guarantee that they are watertight. We understand that weight is more important than ever to rv buyers. The koala's six-sided laminated construction with welded aluminum framing makes it a strong, durable unit at a far lower weight than other brands. The glossy metallic gel-coated fiberglass exterior hides a unique sidewall construction that features azdel composite material, a wood replacement that contains no formaldhyde and is waterproof and rot-proof. Koala rvs are super light-weight; every flooplan can be easily towed by a light weight tow vehicle. The interiors are also meticulously crafted from the lightest weight most durable materials available. Where most rv manufactures utilize structure wood or particulate wood in their construction the makers of koala utilize a wood product known as italian poplar. This extremely light weight material is used in all cabinet frames, doors, drawers, drawer fronts and counter tops. It is also environmentally friendly because it is an easily replenished resource and uses less harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde.
