Build a watercraft with an economical four-stroke engine a soft contoured "cruiser" seat and features found on high-end pwcs. Up to that point no problem. But Yamaha wanted the new vx cruiser to carry a value-oriented price tag. That's where the competition falls short.we think the three-passenger vx cruiser ($8299) is poised to take the title of the number-one selling pwc away from its stable mate the vx deluxe. The contoured seat from the luxury fx cruiser transforms the vx cruiser into a capable and comfortable long-distance touring watercraft. It even has two backrests for the driver and back-seat passenger allowing riders to sit "in" instead of "on" the saddle. This important distinction gives passengers a more secure feeling when riding.the motivation for the vx cruiser comes from Yamaha's reliable mr-1 engine that develops 110 hp at 8000 rpm. Top speed comes in about 53 mph plenty fast for most buyers especially when you consider the fuel economy.standard features include a glove box dual cup holders mirrors reverse lever multifunction digital display and Yamaha's security mode and l-mode transmitter to disable the ignition or reduce top speed for beginners (boating mag). Only 75 hrs on this example. Runs and cruises perfectly without disappointment.
