For sale: excellent condition and very rare class a - gas / lenoir city, tn a very rare 1989 Winnebago Spectrum 2000 ****price dropped $5,000**** one of the few really nice Winnebago Spectrum 2000 motorhomes is being offered for sale in east tennessee. These were designed to be Winnebagos flag ship motorhome in 1988 as a 1989 model, everything was state of the art and then some. Only 96 were made due to the high cost at that time and only a few in top shape remain today. This one has a custom paint job with painted on graphics with clear coat. It has several upgrades but retains close to its stock look, inside is like new. Some of the original special features include computer controlled 30 amp service, whole house a/c, full independent suspension on all six wheels, electric water heater preheated with engine coolant, extra large bath width of coach, convection microwave oven, propane stove and furnace with dual propane tanks, air operated parking brake, special frame built by Winnebago, not a truck frame, full body width front axle, low profile and ford 460 gas engine in rear, has a quiet smooth ride. Many other features too numerous to mention here. If you need more pictures please let me know. Rv is located in lenoir city, tennessee (near knoxville, tn). Here is more information on the suspension, brakes, and steering: front suspension - developed by rvi of france for use as a truck suspension on vehicles used in african markets. The suspension is fully independent and features coil springs with double transverse link design. It is rated at a 5,400-pound load capacity. A unique feature of the front suspension is its track width of 79.8 inches, which is about 13 inches wider than a standard chevy motorhome chassis. This contributes greatly to the improved handling, stability, and driver feel of this unique motorhome. Rear suspension - this rv's rear suspension features a drive axle and tag axle systems. The tag axle is mounted ahead of the drive axle system. Both feature velvet ride torsional rubber independent suspension, supplied by b.f. Goodrich. The entire rear suspension system was designed in conjunction with b.f. Goodrich and is the product of their experience developing suspensions for large vehicles, such as high-line over-the-road buses. The tag axle is a trailing arm type, versus air bag or leaf sprint designs. It has a combined total of 8 inches travel and is rated at 3,500-pound load capacity. The tab axle arms and wheel ends are supplied by zf. Each tag axle features a koni shock absorber for superior handling and ride. The drive axle features velvet ride suspension with a total of 8 inches of travel for extra control and comfort over bumpy roads. The drive axle drive shafts and wheel ends are also supplied by zf of west germany. It has 7,000-pound load carrying capacity. Each rear drive axle wheel is also supplied with a koni shock absorber. As you can see this rv is very rare and unique. It was costing Winnebago too much to produce so they stopped making them. It's current condition is excellent, drives great, and i have a ton of documentation/manuals/ect as well as a ton of spare parts that i'll also give to the new owner. This is a very rare find.
